With more than 20 years of experience in health care, Sheila has established significant expertise in medical practice redesign. Key to her qualifications and success is her ability to objectively analyze situations and determine potential opportunities.

Throughout her career in diverse hospital, home health and medical practice leadership, Sheila has:

  • Managed clinical staff
  • Provided oversight for business, financial and clinical aspects of both primary care and specialty medical offices
  • Provided key insights in consulting projects focusing on everything from access to team based care

As the primary consultant and instructional designer for Remedy HealthCare Consulting, Sheila is passionate about helping practices identify their clinical optimization needs and develop practical affordable solutions.

Recent Roles

  • Consultant with Qualis Health with the Arkansas PCMH project starting in 2014
  • Lead consultant for several years with multiple Nebraska PCMH projects starting in 2012.
  • Lead Transformation Coach for the Maryland Learning Collaborative, a three-year multi-payer pilot in Maryland with more than 50 practices participating starting 2011
  • Various consulting projects for individual primary care and specialty practices in the areas of operational efficiencies, PCMH and clinical transformation.
  • Member of the National MGMA Quality & Safety Committee, 2011 to present
  • Expert panel member for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation's Comprehensive Care initiative, 2011
  • Lead Transformation Facilitator for the CareFirst Patient Centered Medical Home Pilot, January 2009 - 2010
  • Director, Practice Transformation for TransforMED, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Academy of Family Physicians, 2008
